DGFT has officially PROHIBITED export of Sugar (Raw, White & Refined) under ITC HS 1701 series.
Effective: Immediately till 30th Sept 2026 (or further notice)
Impact:
- All new sugar export bookings effectively stopped
- Contract planning & pricing under serious pressure
Limited exceptions only:
- EU & USA quotas (CXL / TRQ)
- Advance Authorisation Scheme (AAS) as per FTP rules
